Take a moment to sit back and think about what your life was like as a fifteen year old. I remember spending countless hours at Starbucks chatting with friends, working on homework, and just trying to survive high school. Most of us have similar stories, but not Marissa Hacker.  At age fifteen, Marissa was inspired by her autistic twin brother, Matthew, to start her very own nonprofit. She called the organization, “Fantastic Friends.”

Hope Through Community: The Story of Hannah and Friends

Hannah and Friends is a unique community and nonprofit located in South Bend, Indiana. Three homes were built across forty acres for children and adults with special needs. Those who live there are given the opportunity to build companionship with their peers as well as to further their academic and life-skills education.

Lending a Helping Hand: Monkey Helpers

The Sevenly team is thrilled to kick off our first ever Highlight Week by partnering with an exceptionally unique charity. With the help of some (very cute) furry friends, this charity is working to bring independence and restoration to those who need it most. Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers is an organization that raises and trains capuchin monkeys to provide daily assistance to people living with spinal cord injuries or other mobility impairments.
